Recent show news and a few highlights of our cats show careers.
For those unfamiliar with cat shows, entire cats win Champion titles and neuters win Premier titles, both are used if a cat was titled as an entire then again as a neuter, the awards are Champion (or Premier) Grand Champion, Imperial Grand Champion, Olympic Grand Champion (Bronze, Silver then Gold) The highest award is the 'UK' which is awarded by winning a special class at the supreme show, twice and under different judges, finally, if your cat was fortunate enough to become overall best in show at the supreme, it wins the 'Supreme' title.

Imperial Grand Champion and UK Olympic Bronze Imperial Grand Premier Teignage Paparazzi (Roberto) at the Westcountry show 2024
He was awarded the Olympian certificate in a class of 13 very highly titled cats by his judge Sandra Woodley, this was the final certificate needed to gain the title of bronze Olympian to go with his other titles, we were thrilled as this was Roberto's last show, ending a glittering career in style.
Thanks to our friend Tina Covell Palmer for taking the picture of Theresa holding Roberto.

A Few Highlights

An unforgettable day at the Asian Cat Association show in 2013 where Teignage bred cats swept the board, overall best in show, best Tiffanie, Best Tabby, best of variety winners and both gold and silver in the Breeders prefix classes amongst others.
(Right) Grand Champion and UK Imperial Grand Premier Teignage Femme Fatale aka Molly, at the joint Asian Group Cat Society / Shorthaired cat club shows, she won both Olympian certificates and overall best in show.
Moly is the mother of Roberto, our well known ticked tabby boy, sadly Molly has terminal cancer, she had surgery for mammary cancer in July 2024 but sadly cancer cells were also found in her blood and further small tumours have appeared, at the moment (January 2025) Molly is perfectly fine in herself, even playing with toys, apart from being a little wheezy and requiring a steroid inhaler, she has quality of life and we continue to treasure every moment with her.

COTY = Cat of the year, this was a GCCF competition based on points earned by results from all cats shown at every show in the 2018 / 2019 show season, This was awarded to Roberto (Teignage Paparazzi) our ticked tabby boy for best neuter, we were only one point behind the overall winner of section 5, the adult, but at the time didn't know this competition existed, had we done a single show more its highly likely we would have also won overall best in section 5 for the whole season.

(Below) Roberto has won a number of best in shows, one of the other notable wins includes 'Best of the best' at a joint show, he was best in show at the Tabby Cat show and competed against the best cat from the second show to win.

Best Longhair Burmilla neuter in western Europe 2024, Molly also has the GCCF title of Grand Champion and UK Imperial Grand Premier
